About En Farmers

An improved livelihood for a farmer impacts the growth of an entire farmer network. En Farmers is a nonprofit organisation committed to connecting the minds of farmers to useful technologies and access to basic social interventions. The “En” in our name embodies our mission. Thus to Enlighten, to Enrich and to protect the Environment. Our journey to improving farmers’ livelihood began when we experienced women and children drinking water from a “coloured” stream. With support from our donors, we have been able to impact over 3600 farmers, a 1000 more women and 1200+ children.
Since 2023, En Farmers have been providing a variety of services to farmers:
- Improvement of living conditions
- Regenerative agriculture (Biochar, Agroforestry)
- Cooperative management (VSLA,FPC, SP, IGA)
- Productivity enhancement program (GAPs training)
- Child education support

We aim to transition farmers from the practice of dependency on government and donors to a self reliant and self practice mindset. En Farmers is currently focusing on teaching farmers the concept of production methods, and agricultural applications of biochar. Biochar not only improves soil health and increases crop yields but also benefits the environment and contributes to addressing climate change. It is one of the simplest ways for farmers in Ghana to make a meaningful contribution to global climate action.
